Comfrey Wonder Balm – In Memory of Ouma Enid
Another AMAZING product, and one that is incredibly dear to my heart. My Mom and Grandmother made this balm when I was still a young girl, using comfrey plants from their own gardens. It quickly became our family’s trusted remedy for minor wounds, burns, insect bites, nappy rash and so much more — a true household essential for decades. I’ve made this balm myself for almost three decades, raising all three of my children with this same go‑to, and it remains one of the most meaningful creations in our range.
This will always remind me of my grandmother — we carry her love, her wisdom and her healing touch in every jar.
I’ve added a touch of extra magic to this beloved formula, enhancing it with a powerful blend of Myrrh, Frankincense, Basil, Helichrysum, Tea Tree and Lavender essential oils in a nourishing base of Comfrey Oil, Jojoba Oil, Beeswax and more. These oils bring together a beautiful range of skin‑soothing, calming and restorative properties, offering broad, gentle support for overall skin wellness.
Comfrey itself is an extraordinary plant with a long history of use. Beyond everyday skin support, many traditional herbalists claim that comfrey can help with deep tissue comfort and even bone‑related recovery, which is why it earned the old nickname “knitbone.” It is deeply valued for its ability to comfort sore, irritated or inflamed skin, encourage healthy tissue recovery, soothe dry or chapped areas, support skin resilience, and bring relief to overworked or stressed skin. It’s a beautiful all‑rounder for everyday skin challenges, making this balm a multi‑purpose essential for any home.
We receive so many messages from customers sharing incredible testimonies — from helping remove stubborn warts to providing wonderful relief for burns. These stories mean the world to me and remind me why this balm has been loved in our family for generations.
The result is a gentle, restorative balm that comforts, protects and supports the skin in the most natural, heartfelt way.

I am never without my Comfrey balm. I have a container in the kitchen that I use for burn wounds and small cuts. I also carry a small container in my handbag for emergencies. It works wonders for insect bites, itchy skin and on a sensitive nose when you have a cold.
